Khara Boondhi

Ingredients:
Besan ittu/chick pea flour/Gram flour: 2 cups
Chilli powder: 2tbs
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying
Water: 1 cup
Peanuts: 1/2 cup(optional)
Dalia spilt/Hurigadle/kadle pappu: 1/4 cup(optional)
Cury leaves: 1 string
Garlic: Crushed 7-8 pods(optional)

Method:
Mix gram flour, water, salt n chilli powder in a bowl without any lumps. The batter consistency should be thin.
In the meanwhile heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat, once the oil is hot start pouring the batter over a perforated ladle(ladle used to remove fried items from oil) n spread the batter over that ladle with the help of another ladle so as to the batter droplets fall into the hot oil. Fry them till they turn golden brown n crispy.
Follow the same procedure with the rest of the batter.
Once the boondhis are done , prepare the tempering by heating 3-4 tbs of oil in a pan, add penuts n fry them, then add garlic, curry leaves n dalia splits. Fry them until they turn crisp n then add the deep fried boondhis to the tempering n mix them.

Serve the Khara boondhi along with tea or coffee.
Note: Tempering is optional, as the plain boondhis are good to prepare Boondhi raitha.
